With a fresh look, new machinery, and international firepower, Johor Motorsport Racing has launched its most ambitious GT3 campaign to date. The two-car team was officially unveiled at a launch event on 7 April, held at the Permaisuri Zarith Sofiah Opera House—a night that marked the beginning of a bold new era for the team on and off the track.
HH Prince Jefri Ibrahim, team president and lead driver, emphasised the significance, saying: “I still remember the moment when I first walked into the GM HQ in Detroit… Everyone from the GM family was so welcoming. I can’t wait to get started with the season.”
JMR also introduced its full driver lineup for the GTWC Asia campaign: The #99 Corvette Z06 GT3.R will be driven by Prince Jefri Ibrahim with Corvette factory driver Alexander Sims, whilst the #66 will have Prince Abu Bakar Ibrahim behind the wheel, alongside Australian Jordan Love, returning to JMR after previous stints with the team.

This launch signals far more than a change in car—it marks JMR’s intent to elevate Malaysian motor-sport on both regional and global stages. With the season opener at Sepang fast approaching (10–13 April 2025), expectations are high. With new machinery, a refreshed driver pairing, and royal support behind it, JMR sets the stage for what could be a breakthrough year.
The Corvette partnership isn’t just about hardware—it’s the start of a new legacy, built to race at the
front across Asia and beyond.
