Johor Motorsports Racing (JMR) will front an expanded programme for the upcoming Asian Le Mans Series, confirming its two-car, six-driver line-up ahead of next weekend’s opening rounds at Sepang.

Two world-class teams will pilot JMR’s Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.Rs across the six-round series.
Prince Jefri Ibrahim, Australian Jordan Love and Englishman Ben Green will be behind the wheel of the #99 car, while Prince Abu Bakar Ibrahim, Corvette Factory Racing driver Alexander Sims (England) and Australian-Palestinian endurance specialist Yasser Shahim will control the #66 car.

Starting the series at the Sepang International Circuit provides the JMR team with a crucial home-ground advantage, evidenced by Prince Jefri Ibrahim and Sims taking a memorable win at the GT World Challenge in their debut outing with the Corvette.
Having the roaring Malaysian crowd on their side could make all the difference this year, with 22 cars confirmed for the GT class and a total of 48 cars (including the LMP2 and LMP3 classes) taking the Sepang starting grid.

JMR last contested the ALMS season in 2023-2024, when Prince Jefri Ibrahim, Love and Luca Stolz narrowly missed out on both the teams’ and drivers’ championships.
The ALMS caps off a frantic year for JMR, with the team finishing runner-up in the GT World Challenge Asia Championship, landing on the podium at the Suzuka 1000 in September and successfully completing the Crowdstrike 24 Hours of Spa in June.

Next weekend’s series opener will comprise two gruelling four-hour races – Round 1 on Saturday 13 December and Round 2 on Sunday 14 December. Both races start at 1300 local time.
The ALMS concludes early in the New Year with back-to-back rounds at Dubai Autodrome (31 January-1 February) and Abu Dhabi (7-8 February).
His Highness Tunku Abdul Rahman Al-Haj Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Tunku Panglima of Johor (Prince Jefri Ibrahim): “I’m really looking forward to another exciting new chapter with JMR. Racing in the ALMS again will be a lot of fun; the last time I raced was two years ago and to return now with two cars will be another exciting challenge for us. We’ve done some great preparation for this series I’m looking forward to starting in Sepang with the home crowd behind us, and to continue our strong performances with the Corvette over the six rounds.”
His Highness Tunku Abu Bakar Al-Haj Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Tunku Putera of Johor (Prince Abu Bakar Ibrahim): “Starting my first season in endurance racing, I’m grateful for the opportunity and excited to enjoy the experiences that come with it. There’s a lot for me to learn and I’m ready to put in the work. I’m looking forward to the challenges ahead and giving my best every step of the way for the team.”
Ben Green: “I’m very excited to join JMR for the ALMS. It’ll be my first time competing in the series, but I have high hopes and believe we can fight for wins and the championship. All our drivers know the Corvette well and we have the home advantage for the first race next weekend at Sepang! A big thanks to the team for continuing to involve me in their programme; it’s a pleasure to drive with Prince Jefri Ibrahim and work with the great crew at JMR.”
Alexander Sims: “It’s going to be exciting to experience the two four-hour weekend format of ALMS and especially at Sepang, which is such a unique circuit. It’ll be cool to work with Yasser and Prince Abu Bakar Ibrahim, and the goal is to set the car up as best as possible, then drive consistent clean laps over the whole weekend. Lots can happen – and it probably will – with the multi-class format, so I’m really excited for this opportunity.”
Jordan Love: “I’m extremely excited and privileged to join Prince Jefri Ibrahim and Ben Green along with the whole JMR team in ALMS for a second year. To do it in the Corvette after a year of learning the car is a fantastic opportunity. We’ve made amazing progress this year with a new car, and I believe we have great momentum leading into 2026. We came so close to winning the ALMS in 2023-2024, so the goal for this year is pretty clear, even though it’s always an incredibly tough championship.”
Yasser Shahim: “I’m absolutely thrilled to join the ALMS lineup alongside Prince Jeffrey Ibrahim and in the same car as Prince Abu Bakar Ibrahim, race on their home ground at Sepang. Having known the brothers for years, it’s an honour to share a car with them in front of their home crowd, and I’m hugely motivated to deliver something special. We’ve got the machinery, the team and the chemistry to fight at the front, and I can’t wait to work for a result we can be proud of.”
