JMR Surges to Pro-Am Victory at Crowdstrike 24 Hours of Spa

  • HH Prince Jefri Ibrahim, HH Prince Abu Bakar, Ben Green and Jordan Love claim the top step with near flawless performance at Spa-Francorchamps.
  • First time a Malaysian team has ever won the world’s biggest GT3 race.

Johor Motorsports Racing team has produced its best-ever performance by charging to victory at the world’s biggest GT3 race, the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa.

After battling scorching on-track temperatures and early morning thunderstorms, JMR won the Pro-Am class and made history by becoming the first Malaysian team to ever stand on top of the Spa podium.

JMR owner and racer His Highness Tunku Abdul Rahman Al-Haj Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Tunku Panglima of Johor (HH Prince Jefri Ibrahim), HH Tunku Abu Bakar Al-Haj Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Tunku Putera of Johor (HH Prince Abu Bakar Ibrahim), and Pro drivers Ben Green and Jordan Love all put in strong, consistent performances as the team raced around the clock.

After JMR qualified P6 in the class, Green started the 24-hour race behind the wheel of JMR’s Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R, narrowly avoiding damage early as three cars crashed out on the opening lap.

Some track limit penalties and more push-and-shove with other cars put the team on the back foot during the first half of the race, but the two princes, Green, and Love refused to give up and moved JMR up the leaderboard through the night.

The #0 Corvette moved into P2 as the sun rose, and continued to push forward, with Green taking over the lead with a smart pit strategy with 10 hours left on the clock.

From that point it was a matter of staying out of trouble, continuing to tick off consistent laps around the 7km Belgian circuit, and executing smooth pit-stops as the mercury climbed into the high 30s.

Green claimed the checkered flag for the team after 531 laps of hard racing, marking Corvette’s first victory since 2009 and JMR’s greatest motorsport achievement. JMR finished 29th overall as the gruelling race claimed more than one third of the 69 starters.

The victory at Spa completes a successful fortnight in Europe for JMR, after the team successfully completed the 24 Hours of Le Mans two weeks ago. The next race in JMR’s sights is the Suzuka 1000, Japan, in September.

HH Prince Jefri Ibrahim:I’m so happy to achieve this result at the world’s biggest GT3 race. It was a very hot race, but that made it feel like home for me! Our car worked extremely well for the whole race and the support we received from GM has been amazing. We had a few hurdles at the start, but everyone pushed right to the very end and we didn’t give up.

Our whole team did an incredible job this weekend. We can only do so much as drivers and it all comes down to teamwork. We could feel how hungry everyone was to win this year, and we couldn’t have done it without them.

Winning Spa on our third attempt, and our second with Corvette, is a huge motivation for us. We know we can do this and we’ll keep pushing for greater heights. The sky is the limit.

HH Prince Abu Bakar Ibrahim:It’s unbelievable to win on my second time here. We had a tough time in 2025, but here we are, a year later, winning the 24 Hours of Spa Pro-Am class. Every hour was chaotic, but winning our first 24-Hour race almost feels the same as winning a championship for me. We always want to win every race we enter, but I honestly didn’t see this coming in just our second year with Corvette. I’m very proud of the efforts my team-mates and the entire team put in to help us achieve this result.

Ben Green:This is a great result for everyone. I’m immensely proud of the Johor Motorsports Racing Team; this is just their third year of racing here and second year with the Corvette, and a win is a fantastic result. It was a tough fight the whole way – the start was chaotic, then we received some penalties in the first half of the race that put us on the back foot. We knuckled down, drove clean stints, and came back to take the win.

Everyone works so hard and it’s amazing to give the team that works so hard behind the scenes this win. It’s very satisfying for all the hard work to come to fruition.

Jordan Love:That was a tough race, but it’s extremely special to take the win today. I didn’t think after the 12th hour that we were going to finish on the podium as we picked up some costly time penalties. We needed to pull it together and we all put in a great performance to turn things around and win.

I couldn’t be happier to have been part of the team for a few years now; we’ve attempted Spa three times, we had one clear goal for this weekend, and to tick that off is pretty special. It’s astonishing to see what JMR has achieved in such a short space of time as an independent team with GM. Just two weeks ago JMR was racing at Le Mans, and we’ve backed that up with a win at Spa.
